Victory in Christ
Psalm 91:1-2 – “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.”
Is your secret place in the world which gives nothing in return or with Jesus who gives us eternal blessings? Hide yourself under God's mighty shadow, His life changing WORD that will always steer you in the right direction. Ask God to "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness" (Psalm 143:10). You want to trust God completely, run to Him every day with a heart set on fire to know Him more and trust yourself less.

Isaiah 55:8-9 - "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Can we do anything without the Lord leading the way, NO? Our standard for living a holy life before God can happen but we must surrender our hearts over to be molded into HIS IMAGE. We can never be God, but we can allow His Word to bring us to that place where Jesus is in total control and has our complete trust. His thoughts can be ours because we are allowing a part of Jesus in us, HIS WORD. Don't look to what YOU want to become, but allow Jesus to mold us into what He wants us to be.

Deuteronomy 31:6 – “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the one who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."
Have you had a situation that completely consumed you with doubt and worry? If we are truthful we have all been there at one time or another. The only way we can go on is if we believe that THE WORD OF GOD IS REAL and will do what it says. Speak to the mountain (situation) that is blocking you from going on and tell it that God is in control. God is as close as we LET HIM BE. Remember, "If you don't feel close to God, guess who moved?"

Psalm 112:6 - "Surely he will never be shaken; the righteousness will be in everlasting remembrance."
Are you on solid foundation that won't be shaken? Everything comes down to what condition our spiritual heart is in. To be righteous we must guard our heart above all else, for it determines the course of life (Prov. 4:23). To put your heart in right standing with God you need to pump it full of God's life giving Word which puts us on solid ground. "Only the Word can resist the currents of this world and shape us according to God's design."

Psalm 119:15-16 – “I will meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. I will delight in your decrees: I will not neglect your word."
What keeps you going in life, your job, your hobby or is it YOUR GOD? Just think about it, THE WORD OF GOD is many things to people but most of all it's LIFE. We live in the world but we don't have to be of the world. God's Word should be a strong influence and should guide who you are and what you do. Let your heart be consumed with Christ and delight in all He has for you to do. "Some read the Bible to learn, and some read the Bible to hear from heaven." Heaven is speaking, let HIS WORD show you the way.

Hebrews 13:21 - "Make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever, Amen."
Have you been made complete in everything you do every day? I know you're thinking this is impossible and you're right if you rely on what you think, do and say without Christ leading you. To be complete and well pleasing we have to let Christ and HIS WORD lead us and show us the direction HE WANTS US TO GO. It's simple to be lead by Christ, get you out of the way. Christ and His Word equals victory in all we do.

Psalm 34:8 - "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him."
What we need to do is stop and enjoy the blessings of the Lord. Don't just busy yourself so much you can't enjoy all the Lord has given you. Joyse Meyer says, "The secret to true joy is valuing God more than what He gives us - valuing the Creator more than the created. When you do, you are free to enjoy life as He intended. Don't let the guilt and shame from the enemy keep you from tasting and seeing the goodness of God." His goodness comes from us letting Him be all He can be in us and through us.

1 Samuel 16:7 - "But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."
Aren't we glad the Lord does not see as man sees? We tend to judge what we see but the Lord looks deeper into a person's heart where all of who we are lies. The Lord wants to make sure that the intents of our Heart are pure and only for what the Lord wants. Samuel was going to anoint a new King, David, and by our standards was "the last choice" but because of his heart, which was sold out to the Lord, David was the only choice to be leader of Israel. If our hearts are pure, we see things as God sees them.

Lamentations 3:41-42 – “Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven. We have transgressed and rebelled; you have not pardoned."
We serve such an awesome God that all He wants from us is our hearts and our minds to be one with His. Do we ever fall from grace and make mistakes? YES WE DO. One thing that is different from this scripture is that the Lord says he hasn't pardoned, but we serve a merciful and loving God that only wants the best in all that we do. "The Word of God is the source for meeting the needs of the human heart; it is the final and only source of absolute truth (John 17:17)." Lift up your hands and your hearts and give HIM PRAISE for all He has done in your life.

Deuteronomy 4:20 – “But the Lord has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be His people, and inheritance as you are this day.”
Have you ever been in a sticky situation and didn't know how to get out of it? When the Lord says He will never leave you or forsake you that means He will be by your side through EVERYTHING YOU GO THROUGH. Just remember all the many times He has brought you through tough times and in the end He has blessed you. God's Word says you are "a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth." (Deut. 7:9) We are His and He is ours and He wants to lead us to victory in everything we do.
