Here at Agape Church, missions are a very important part of our church and its ministries. We support efforts to share the Love of Christ around the world. Listed below are the efforts we currently support.

Community Care Prayer Outreach

This ministry helps meet the needs of our local community.  Their mission is to alleviate the pain and suffering of the elderly, disabled and low income mothers with children by providing basic needs.  They do this through clothing and food distributions, utility assistance, rent assistance, medical assistance, prayer support, Thanksgiving food baskets and a Christmas toy program.

Brian and Mary Chamberlin, Tennessee

This couple is dedicated to taking the gospel of Jesus to the streets through personal ministry and outreach events.  They demonstrate God's love through acts of kindness such as offering prayer, distributing bibles, feeding the hungry and even acts of service like washing motorcycles at motorcycle rallies.  These acts of kindness open peoples heart to receive salvation through Jesus Christ.

Free Life Missions
This ministry is located in Beaumont and led by Stephen Samuel.  This ministry has an ongoing campus outreach through Lamar University.  They also reach the world through regular mission trips to countries such as Peru, India, Turkey, China and Niger.

Agape supports the local ministry of James Guest in the discipleship training school as he teaches students at YWAM the word of God and outreach ministry.  YWAM is equipping and sending young people to reach the world for Christ through their school of evangelism and teen missions.

New Beginnings Ministry

This local ministry is located in Port Arthur and run by Dr. Henry Holland and his wife Beverly,  New Beginnings is dedicated to helping those dealing with poverty, hopelessness and violence by meeting tangible and spiritual needs.  Their mission is to help improve the lives of the men and women in our community by teaching life and job skills so they will be able to step above the poverty line.  This ministry offers local training classes for job skills, life skills, anger management, parenting, computer literacy and more.

Commission to Every Nation

Adam and Jenn Bostic have been working in the Amazon jungles of Peru for over 11 years.  They work to plant and build up community impacting churches and run children's ministries.  They teach in a frontier, Spanish-speaking bible school to train pastors and missionaries.  They work to get others involved in the great commission by hosting short-term missionary teams.
